An exploration of taking the stereotypical approach of healthcare and expanding the concept to a new mode of modern medical health. Heart disease is the number one killer of Americans, and creating a method of monitoring those afflicted with the disease was something very personal to me; having family members suffering from various heart problems, the main idea behind the product was to ensure the disease is properly cared for while promoting a longer and healthier life.

DASHBOARD
Collecting recorded data via the Monitoro dashboard, users are able to track, update and monitor their ever-changing conditions to provide the most real-time information back to their primary care doctor and heart-related specialists. Most heart monitoring patients have had greater data collection when monitored within their homes. To accurately figure out the proper adjustments to their care, Monitoro’s data is linked to your doctors at timed intervals each day. When a series of checkpoints are missed, or abnormal readings are submitted, an emergency message is sent to the physician and a call is made to the user to ensure their safety.

PRESSURE CUFF
Using the same method of recording pressure in your doctor’s office or hospital, the stylish band’s internal surface constricts to add pressure to the arteries in your wrist, and then slowly releases and records the data. Setting the cuff to take pressures at timed intervals though the day, users have the ability to monitor their vitals via scheduling checkpoints, such as after or before meals, and exercise. Getting specific data during daily routines ensures consistent and correct data collection, which in turn aides in your battle with heart disease. Available in a variety of colors, the cuff can be paired with a variety of tastes and allows for blending in with your daily routines. The band is water resistant, letting those who wish to exercise while monitoring without worrying about interference via sweat.

PULSE MONITOR
Using the same method of recording pressure in your doctor’s office or hospital, the stylish ring’s discreet appearance simply picks up your pulse through your finger, and records the data to your dashboard for you and your doctor to see. Setting the ring to take vitals at timed intervals though the day or night, users have the ability to monitor their vitals via scheduling checkpoints, such as after or before meals, and exercise. Getting specific data during daily routines ensures consistent and correct data collection, which in turn aides in your battle with heart disease. With a wireless connecting point, or with the typical plug-and-play micro USB connecting wire, the pulse monitor ring sends data to your Monitoro device without hassle. Simply activate the device within the Monitoro dashboard, set times to record, and wear the ring; the technology will do the rest for you.

Rx DISPENSOR
The medication dispenser simplifies the dosing associated with heart disease. Gone are the days of missed medication times and refills. When paired with the Monitoro dashboard, users can easily set times to take medications, to which the device will sound an alarm reminding the user to take their pills. Users are also privy to the Monitoro system which alerts users when medications are running low and need refilled, as well as ensuring proper dosages are delivered.

USB MEDICAL RECORD
Updated through your physician’s Monitoro dashboard, the mobile medical record uses encrypted data communication methods to promote a consistent and safe transfer of information. Acting as a quick link to emergency staff, the mobile record can be plugged into any USB supported device to open a window showcasing pertinent information about the user. Nowhere are specifics, such as social security numbers, date of birth, or other identifiable personal information will be present, giving the user a piece of mind if the bracelet is lost or stolen.

BROCHURE
The brochure acts as a conversation point between patient and physician in answering questions about Monitoro and its service. A modified tri-fold, the brochure has three flaps with the most common questions that user-testing provided. Because of its limit on space, the brochure is meant to be a kickoff point for heart disease patients to get a better idea of methods they can employ for their health situation.
